Vista, San Diego County
Rancho Guajome Adobe, on the north side of Vista, is a sprawling ranch house built in the early 1850s around two courtyards and now a National Historic Landmark run by the county. Next door, the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum keeps old tractors and farm machinery in working order. Vista itself lies about seven miles inland from the coast at Oceanside.
